Small scratches can develop on the running surface during use. If the coating is worn or damaged, arrange to repair it as soon as possible.
Can the wheel still be used?
Use your judgement about its condition. If the wheel still works and you consider it safe, it can continue to be used while you arrange the repair. Keep cats away during any maintenance.
Choosing a repair coating
The original liquid-rubber coating is no longer available. We have suggested an alternative to try, but have not yet received feedback confirming the result, so we cannot recommend it as a proven replacement.
Replacement coatings can be bought from third-party suppliers. We do not sell or supply them. Follow the tin or tub for preparation, compatible materials, application, ventilation, protective equipment and drying or curing time. Keep cats away until the product instructions say the repair is ready for use.
